This is a working document representative of data currently
available.
The AHSS Data Utilization project provides raw data of advanced
high-strength steel (AHSS) properties which can be used for academia or
design intensive purposes:
- Academic purposes: the data available can be utilized as an
introduction to the revolutionary steel products and processing
conditions as their usage grows throughout the industry.
- For the design community: the strain rate, fatigue and formability
sections provide enough details to construct simulations. Furthermore,
this database can help eliminate excess experimental costs in the
material selection process.
The steel grades utilized in this project include:
- Drawing Quality (DQ)
- Interstitial Free (IF)
- Bake Hardenable (BH)
- High-Strength Steel (HSS)
- High-Strength Low Alloy (HSLA)
- Dual Phase (DP)
- Transformation Induced Plasticity (TRIP)
- Martensitic Steel (MS)
Properties can be separated into three distinct categories:
- Mechanical Properties
- Fatigue Properties
- Formability Data
